HOW TO CONSIGN

We keep consignment simple, curated, and focused on quality over quantity.

DROP-OFF DAYS

Thursday, Friday + Saturday

15 item limit per drop-off.

Items must be:

  • Freshly washed

  • Neatly folded

  • Brought in a reusable tote or basket

  • In excellent, ready-to-sell condition

No trash bags or cardboard boxes.

If items are not clean and neatly folded, we will not sort through them.

WHAT WE ACCEPT

We are looking for:

  • Name-brand clothing

  • Quality contemporary brands

  • Current, trendy styles

  • Unique boutique pieces

  • Vintage

  • Premium activewear

  • Handbags + accessories

  • Pieces in excellent or near-new condition

We look at each item individually based on brand, style, condition, current demand, and resale value.

Brands we love include:

Free People, Anthropologie, Madewell, Reformation, Coach, Kate Spade, Outdoor Voices, Girlfriend Collective, Universal Thread, Everlane, Aritzia, Abercrombie, Levi's, Lululemon, Vuori, Alo, Patagonia, The North Face, Farm Rio, Marine Layer, Sézane, Birkenstock, Dr. Martens, quality boutique brands, great vintage + more.

This is not a complete list. We will absolutely consider unbranded vintage, boutique pieces, and unique items that fit the Daydreamers vibe.

WHAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT

We do not accept:

  • SHEIN and similar fast-fashion brands

  • No Boundaries

  • Wild Fable

  • Very low-cost mass-market brands

  • Outdated styles

  • Stained or damaged items

  • Heavily pilled or faded clothing

  • Items with holes

  • Stretched-out clothing

  • Items with noticeable wear or odors

Acceptance is always based on the individual item, even if it is from a brand we normally carry.

PRICING

Most items are priced around 50–70% below original retail, depending on:

  • Brand

  • Style

  • Condition

  • Age

  • Demand

  • Current resale value

Rare, vintage, or highly sought-after pieces may be priced differently.

Accepted items are sorted, priced, and listed online the same day.

CONSIGNOR PAYOUT

Your percentage is based on the item's ticket price:

$5–$14.99 — 30%

$15–$24.99 — 35%

$25–$49.99 — 40%

$50+ — 50%

CONSIGNMENT PERIOD

Items are consigned for 90 days.

At the end of the 90-day period, you may choose to have your remaining unsold items returned to you.

You will be given a list of your remaining items and can come into the store to collect them.

If you do not choose to pick up your unsold items, they will be donated after the consignment period ends.

GETTING PAID

Payouts must be picked up in store.

Balances under $100 may be picked up in cash anytime during regular business hours.

For balances of $100 or more, arrangements must be made ahead of time by emailing victoria@wear-forward.com.

Consignor balances remain available for one year. After one year, unclaimed balances expire.

BEFORE YOU DROP OFF

Go through your items and choose your 15 best pieces.

We are looking for quality over quantity: pieces that are in great condition, feel current, and are worth putting back into someone else's closet.

WANT STORE CREDIT INSTEAD?

If you’d rather swap your clothes for something new-to-you instead of building a consignment balance, you can choose store credit upfront.

HOW IT WORKS

Bring your items in during our regular drop-off days:

Thursday, Friday + Saturday

The same 15-item limit and acceptance guidelines apply.

We’ll go through your items, decide what we can accept, and price them just like we would for consignment.

Instead of putting those items on your consignment account, Daydreamers will buy them from you for 40% of the tag price in store credit upfront.

Example:

If we price your item at $25, you receive $10 in Daydreamers store credit.

If we price your item at $50, you receive $20 in Daydreamers store credit.

You get your credit right away with no waiting for the item to sell.

STORE CREDIT VS. CONSIGNMENT

Choose store credit if:
You want to trade in your clothes and immediately have money to spend at Daydreamers.

Choose consignment if:
You’d rather wait for your items to sell and earn your consignor percentage based on the final ticket price.

Once you choose store credit for an item, the sale to Daydreamers is final. The item belongs to the store whether or not it eventually sells.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

  • Store credit is 40% of our determined tag price

  • Credit is issued upfront

  • You do not have to wait for the item to sell

  • Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash

  • Items purchased for store credit cannot later be switched to consignment

  • The same Daydreamers quality and brand standards apply

Basically, if you want to clean out your closet and refill it at the same time, this is the option for you.
